Software Engineer Perception for Robotics in Offenbach / Main

Your responsibilities

You will help us to implement the research ideas of the HRI into prototype systems, this includes in detail

  • Development, maintenance and integration of components for a visual perception system for a robotic teleoperation research system
  • Identification of novel methods from scientific publications on robot perception, e.g., object pose estimation, implementation of prototypes and evaluation on the robot systemStrong interaction within the local team
  • Strong interaction within the local team
  • Discussion and integration in the larger global team
  • Tackle sub-problems independently
  • System calibration
In all these tasks, you will work within a team of researchers as well as internal and external software engineering experts.

Your profile

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Proficiency in Python and C++
  • Experience with the basics of machine learning (ML), ML framework (e.g. pytorch or tensorflow) and computer vision
  • Preferably also knowledge of ROS and Git
